IPU NewZealand Tertiary Institute (New Zealand)

IPU New Zealand (Institute of the Pacific United) is a private tertiary institute in Palmerston North, founded in 1990. It offers NZQA-accredited diplomas, bachelor’s, and postgraduate programmes in fields like International Business, Japanese Studies, Marketing, Management, Accounting, International Relations, TESOL, and Environmental Studies. Undergraduate (UG) Entry Requirements – IPU New Zealand:

  • Completion of NEB/HSEB (Grade 12) or an equivalent secondary qualification from Nepal.

  • A satisfactory academic record demonstrating readiness for tertiary study.

  • English language requirement: IELTS 6.0 overall, with no band lower than 5.5, or an equivalent English proficiency test score.

  • Submission of academic transcripts, school certificates, and a copy of a valid passport.

  • Students who do not meet the English requirement may take an English for Academic Purposes (EAP) course at IPU before starting their degree.

Postgraduate (PG) Entry Requirements – IPU New Zealand:

  • A recognized bachelor’s degree (Level 7 or equivalent) from a university or tertiary institution, preferably in a relevant field such as business, management, or education.

  • Applicants with significant relevant work experience may also be considered.

  • English language requirement: IELTS 6.5 overall, with no band lower than 6.0, or equivalent proof of English proficiency.

  • Submission of official transcripts, degree certificates, a curriculum vitae (CV), and a statement of purposeoutlining study goals and career plans.

  • References or letters of recommendation may be requested for some postgraduate programmes.
